CURATORIAL, DEVELOPMENT, AND VISTOR SERVICES (Queens, NY)

Our internship program provides the opportunity to learn about the operations of a non-profit art institution and to work alongside some of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists and curators. Intern candidates must possess a strong command of English, excellent communication skills, strong writing skills, word-processing skills on a PC-platform, and the ability to work and function in a creative and flexible environment. Most interns are based in one department, but have the opportunity to interact with all departments on a regular basis. All interns work on a volunteer basis for a full 3 months w/ a schedule determined by the Intern’s supervisor. MoMA PS1 is looking for interns who are able to work a minimum of two full days per wk (7 hrs per day). Tasks include archiving, media management, and research, as well as admini + production duties relevant to organizing exhibitions and public programs. While working in the Visitor Services dept at MoMA PS1 plays an integral role in developing creative audience engagement and educational opportunities. The intern will support daily gallery operations and gain insight into the workings of a small arts non -- profit. SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

(Beverly Hills) Compensation: Unpaid Internship. The Revolver Gallery in Beverly Hills is looking for late Spring/ Summer interns to work in our art gallery. The Revolver Gallery exclusively sells the works of Andy Warhol. In our internship program, interns gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience working closely with the Gallery Director and Social Media Manager. You will be given a firsthand look at the day-to-day operations of a gallery, as well as an in-depth understanding of digital marketing and selling of blue chip art. The Revolver Gallery is looking for a savvy candidate who is enthusiastic about Pop Art and Andy Warhol, understands contemporary art and Andy Warhol, and has a strong interest in digital media. You will develop a grasp in the art market, how to market to different demographics, and learn how auctions work. You will also write creative and engaging content that comes to life on social media platforms. We require the following: self-motivated, able to work autonomously with a team mentality, extremely organized, articulate, very computer and internet literate, reliable, able to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment, MAC, MS Office & Adobe Creative Suite proficient. Responsibilities include: Providing general office administration support, updating Gallery Manager database, updating the website with images and artist bios, Maintaining artist files, archives, and inventories, Assisting with art fair and exhibition preparation, Formatting articles and images in Photoshop, Proficiency in Mac and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Light art handling, assist with planning and mounting of exhibitions. 12 Mnth Internship @The Museum of Modern Art

Full-time, 12-Month internship offered for recent college graduates interested in pursuing a museum career. The focused departmental training is integrated with the fall, spring, and summer lecture series and complemented with financial provisions for the interns to attend an international art event related to their field of interest. Description: Primary responsibilities include creating and producing multimedia, assisting in the creation of educational websites, and coordinating educational resources for the web. The intern will also help with technology needs across the Education Department — creating creative Powerpoint slides and faciliating in presentations, resizing images, and teaching basic image and video editing software (iMovie, Garageband, Screenflow, or other screen - capture software). Requirements: Facility and comfort with social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube. Experience with shooting, editing, and producing video. Knowledge of applications such as Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Garageband, Audacity, and Screenflow (or other screen - capture applications).
